Oregon Fruit Products — Supply Chain Manager
Oregon Fruit Products is seeking a Supply Chain Manager. We are a fast growing, family-owned business that offers a complete line of canned, frozen and aseptically packaged fruit for consumers, foodservice operators, brewers and ingredient customers.
The company was founded in 1935 by the Gehlar family. The family owned and operated Oregon Fruit Products until 2011 when the family sold the company to the Maletis family. Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating, organizing, and overseeing all activities involved in the sourcing of supply partners, purchasing raw materials/inputs, and working with the production and the final distribution of the company’s goods. Applicants must have a background in food & agriculture.
Essential Job Duties
Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost through collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
Works collaboratively to coordinate the global supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.
Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
Leads supply chain activities by executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Member of the operations staff, responsible to routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics and/or three to five year(s) related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three or more years of experience in supply chain, logistics or warehouse management experience is required. APIM Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM) highly desirable.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
APIM Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM), BRC, Lean, 6-sigma and other quality programs are preferred.
