What You Will Do
The Project/Process Improvement Engineer will instill a continuous improvement culture through structured problem solving to improve results and build organizational capability, and will identify, organize, prioritize, and provide leadership for initiatives, strategic plans, and projects.

Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by SVZ
Provide guidance and direction to ensure a common and effective approach;
Ensure that contractors and any personnel working on the property are in compliance with SVZ policies and safety requirements.
Proactively identifies outages or issues in the manufacturing processes and/or systems, and addresses.
Solve problems, develop and execute objective, provide or assign leadership for initiatives and capital projects.
Collaborate with plant management team to identify, prioritize, test, and implement projects based on business needs.
Conducts process optimization utilizing continuous improvement tools (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma) that improve cost, output, yields, uptime, and quality.
Manage projects, coach and direct functional teams empowered to execute continuous improvement strategy for efficiency, quality, ease of doing business, and overall cost savings.
Manage execution of capital projects.
Constantly seek out, share, and implement best practices.

You are a good fit if you have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
Three plus years of Manufacturing Engineering preferred
Three plus years of Project Management experience preferred
Food Manufacturing experience a plus
Proven experience leading successful continuous improvement projects
